The New 2022 Cadillac Lineup: All You Need To Know

Keeping up with the high demand in the luxury auto segment is not for everyone. And while Cadillac cars are yet to attain a solid ground in the luxury car segment, this American auto brand has made some big moves to keep up with the Joneses.

With Cadillac cutting off some models from its lineup, only four SUVs and two sedans will be available in the 2022 Cadillac lineup. From the fresh and exciting CT4 and CT5 to the compact crossover XT4, XT5 down to the mammoth Escalade. Every new Cadillac is sure to thrill its drivers and passengers with luxurious features and entertaining ride quality. Shoppers that want a full EV Cadillac will have to wait for the all-electric 2023 Lyriq. Here are the new enticing updates in the 2022 Cadillac lineup.

Cadillac CT4

Thanks to its value-based pricing, Cadillac CT4 is a delightful American non-electric compact luxury sedan. This compelling luxury sedan rewards its drivers with balanced handling and enjoyable ride quality.

And to keep up with the competition, Cadillac is packing new exciting features to the 2022 CT4. Wireless phone charging is now standard. There are also new paint colors, and the CT4 drops the active aero grille shutters.  Two Super Cruise packages are offered in the new CT4. Super Cruise 1 will be available on higher trims (Premium Luxury and Sport trims). Super Cruise 2 package packs a full roster of Cadillac’s technology and comfort packages. An all-new 2022 CT4-V Blackwing sedan, the performance variant of the CT4 with 472 hp V6, joins the party for 2022.

Cadillac CT5

Like the 2022 CT4, 2022 CT5 gets new interior redesigns and sports many convenience features. The center stack now comes with no volume and selection knobs. Driver Awareness package and a whole pack of Driver Assist features are now standard on the Luxury trim of the 2022 Cadillac CT5.

An all-new performance variant, CT5-V Blackwing, also joins the 2022 Cadillac lineup. The all-new CT5-V Blackwing with a 6.2-liter supercharged V-8 engine that coughs out 668 hp and 659 lb-ft of torque is a sportier trim level of the standard CT5. It starts at $84,990.

Cadillac XT4

Cadillac’s smallest SUV, the XT4, is back for 2022 and boasts sharp styling, an optimal suspension for delivering relishing comfort, and an updated infotainment system that’s easy to use.

For 2022, the XT4 gets no significant update. Its 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine drops two horses, leaving its new horses at 235. Cadillac also drops some features, including some old paint colors. At the same time, the new XT4 gets some fresh features in its higher trims.

Cadillac XT5

Cadillac’s second-best seller, the XT5, like the 2022 XT4, also sports few changes—even less significant than the XT4. The Sport trim of the 2022 XT5 gets red-painted calipers, 12-spoke 20-inch wheels, and a Brembo brake kit. Regardless of its fewer changes, this luxury midsize SUV still impresses with its handling and ride quality.

Cadillac XT6

Smaller than the brand’s flagship SUV, the three-row luxury XT6 is the best substitute for shoppers that prefer an SUV with a minivan passenger and cargo space. And for 2022, this Cadillac’s three-row SUV receives the same treatment as the smaller XT5. All 2022 XT6 comes standard with power-folding side mirrors with defoggers. Its higher trims like the Sport and Platinum trims get newly added features.

Cadillac Escalade

Finally, Cadillac’s best-selling product walks into the 2022 model year with almost no change. However, in a bid to keep it fresh, Cadillac has tweaked the 2022 Escalade’s driver assistance features across its trims. Some features like the NFC device pairing won’t be in this year’s model, while metal and rubber pedals are now new.
