If you think that large luxury sedans are too old-fashioned for you or that midsize luxury sedans are too conventional for you, you might consider leasing the new BMW xDrive…
The all-new, first-ever Toyota BZ4X marks the Japanese automotive giant’s re-entry into the rapidly-growing EV space.
The 2023 BZ4X features an interior that looks like something from the metaverse and a futuristic exterior styling that creates an iconic presence and separates it from the rest of Toyota’s extensive lineup.
The BZ4X’s powertrains deliver zippy acceleration, and shoppers can choose between a front-wheel or an all-wheel drive setup. If you’re considering leasing a 2023 Toyota BZ4X, here are a few things to note.
The new BZ4X starts life with a front-wheel-drive setup that features a single electric motor mounted on its rear axle. This setup uses a 63.4-kWh battery pack and is responsible for 201 horses and 196 Ib-ft of torque. Opting for the all-wheel drive introduces a dual-motor setup and a 65.5-kWh battery. This arrangement kicks out 215 hp and 248 lb-ft of torque. The BZ4X boasts zippy acceleration, but its powertrains numbers are still behind the top dogs in this segment. Its all-wheel-drive dual-electric motor model gets a zero-to-60 time of 6.4 seconds. The BZ4X impresses with its decent road manners and regenerative braking feature.
According to EPA, the max driving range estimate for the front-wheel-drive, single-motor setup is 252 miles, while the dual-motor model earns up to 228 miles. The BZ4X also gets a sensational max rating of 131 MPGe in the city and up to 107 MPGe on the highway.
The new BZ4X’s interior is unlike what you get in a regular Toyota. It sports a futuristic design and is even more practical than you’d expect. The dashboard is adorned with soft-touch materials that feel upscale, and quality synthetic leather seats are standard. The center display is a large 12.3-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto integration. A 7.0-inch digital display sits behind the steering wheel to provide the driver with navigation and vehicle information. While a six-speaker audio system is standard, we are confident most shoppers won’t hesitate to upgrade to the optional nine-speaker JBL premium sound system.
Typical of new Toyota models, the BZ4X receives a myriad of Toyota’s latest safety and driver assistance technologies, including the Toyota Safety Sense 3.0. Here’s a list of some of the key safety features of the 2023 BZ4X;
