This battery will last longer, charge faster, and even hold more power than conventional lithium-ion batteries, yet, they will be more affordable. This strategy will significantly reduce the cost and increase the efficiency of Nissan electric vehicles, thus driving more sales.
Considering becoming an all-electric brand, Nissan is not in a hurry. Contrary to the plans of many other automakers, Nissan targets 40% of its sales to be EVs by 2040.
The automaker has also unveiled 4 concept vehicles, One SUV, a convertible, a pickup truck, and a crossover coupe. This electric concept vehicle represents the future of electric vehicles in the coming years. We expect that the automaker will replicate one of those designs in the next generation of the Nissan Leaf.
The 2023 Nissan Ariya
The all-new Nissan Ariya will be the second all-electric vehicle to join Nissan’s lineup, and it is set to arrive in 2022 as a 2023 model. It features a uniquely designed exterior that differentiates it from the rest of Nissan’s lineup. The Ariya will also feature Nissan’s new semi-autonomous driving system (The ProPilot 2.0). There will be two battery options; a 63.0-kWh standard battery or a larger 87.0-kWh battery, offering up to 300miles of driving range. Inside, the Ariya features a futuristic high-tech interior. There’s a dual 12.3inch display; one serves as the digital gauge cluster and the other as a touchscreen infotainment display, along with some other electrifying features.
The Nissan Leaf
After over a decade, Nissan continues to offer the all-electric Leaf, and for the 2022 model year, Nissan has slashed the Hatchback’s price, making it the cheapest EV you can buy in the United States.
