2022 Mitsubishi Cars Review, Preview & Prices

Although it lost its appeal and magic a long time ago, Mitsubishi is still hopeful that it will get back on its feet sometime. Could that be in the 2022 model year? Not so. While the 2022 Mitsubishi lineup is beginning to show signs of life, it’s still far from been what this auto brand used to be.

In the auto world, the expectation for this auto brand come 2022 model year is not so high. The 2022 lineup will likely come with the same reliable crossovers and affordable sedans—Outlander, Outlander Cross, Eclipse Cross, Mirage, and Mirage G4. If they should be a surprise from this Japanese auto brand, we will gladly accept it. Here are what we know so far about the 2022 Mitsubishi lineup.

2022 Mitsubishi Mirage G4

Easily the cheapest and one of the most reliable sedans out there. The Mirage G4 is the best Mitsubishi lease deal for shoppers who want a simple means of getting from one point to another. And for 2022, this compact sedan will be getting a minor update. While most things will likely remain unchanged, Mitsubishi will add better standard features, new safety features and tweak the G4’s design a little. The 2022 Mirage G4 will also get a price hike of at least $300-$400, leaving its starting price at $15,595.

2022 Mitsubishi Mirage

With a lack of customer interest plaguing the subcompact hatchback segment, automakers have had little or no excitement towards this segment. We expect the 2022 Mirage to come with minor updates in styling and features. Just last year, it got its long-expected refresh, so we’d be content to see this subcompact hatchback enter the 2022 model year with no changes. The last refresh in the Mirage saw an updated front grille, upgraded headlamps and taillights, and an improved bumper. And though the pricing of the new Mirage hasn’t been announced yet, we expect it to start at around $15,295.

2022 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross

After it skipped the 2021 model year, we expect to see huge improvements in the coming Eclipse Cross. Mitsubishi didn’t fail to meet the expectations. The 2022 Eclipse Cross comes with significant changes. It gets new front and rear redesigns as well as an improved interior styling. A new easy-to-use 8.0-inch infotainment touchscreen and new gray leather upholstery are now available. It starts at $24,590.

2022 Mitsubishi Outlander

One of the biggest efforts my Mitsubishi to gain relevance in the auto market is easily seen in the all-new Outlander. The all-new 2022 Outlander ushers in a new generation of this compact SUV. Outside, the all-new Outlander sports a sleeker exterior styling that makes it stand out from the crowd. And inside, its surprisingly elegant cabin with a roster of modern features and nice materials will easily endear it to shoppers. According to Mitsubishi, a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) is on the way to join the lineup. The 2022 Outlander starts at $26,990.

2022 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport

Representing Mitsubishi in the ever-burgeoning subcompact SUV segment is the Outlander Sport. And though the Outlander Sport will be on its 12th model year come 2022 model, we expect this subcompact SUV to come zero changes. Besides, it got a major update in 2020. However, if we can get few minor changes, that will be better. We expect the 2022 Outlander Sport to start at around $22,190.

Mitsubishi cars may not offer that driving verge or luxury panache of some auto cars, but it delivers reliability and affordable pricing. For the best lease deals on a new Outlander Sport, reach out to VIP Auto at 1204 Hylan Blvd, Staten Island, NY 10305 https://viplease.com/.
