While the Grand Cherokee used to be the king of Jeep SUV lease, especially if you’re looking to lease a family-friendly Jeep SUV, the all-new Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer are back to the Jeep lineup, challenging even the best of the best luxury large SUVs.
Although the new Wagoneer is a resurrected legendary vehicle, it comes fully equipped with all the right features to make it a strong contender in the large SUV class. This outstanding large SUV offers a spacious and premium cabin, refined V8 engine, blissful ride, and a long list of desirable materials. If you’re looking to lease a refined and capable full-size SUV that will cater to the whole family, the 2022 Jeep Wagoneer lease deal should definitely make it to the top of your list.
The gigantic 2022 Jeep Wagoneer comes in three trims—Series I, Series II, and Series III. These three-row SUVs can seat up to eight and get their power from a 6.4-liter V8 engine that makes 471 horsepower and 455 lb-ft of torque. This engine pairs with an eight-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel or four-wheel drive with low-range gearing.
If you’re shopping on a tight budget, sticking with the base Series I model could be the best 2022 Wagoneer model for you. You can quickly get this model suited up with the Convenience Group package. However, should you decide to throw in some extra bucks, upgrading to the Series II model, which is fully stacked with a swath of standard tech features and upscale materials, is the deal.
The new Wagoneer Series I starts at $58,995.
Engine & Performance
All 2022 Jeep Wagoneer, including the base Series I, are powered by a 5.7-liter V8 that coughs out 392 horsepower and 404 lb-ft of torque. This eight-cylinder engine is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. It utilizes the brand’s eTorque mild hybrid tech (48-volt hybrid system) to save fuel without sacrificing drivability. Jeep says that this new model will return 16/22 mpg city/highway with the RWD version and 15/20 mpg city/highway with 4WD.
Interior, Technology
The inside sports a spacious three-row SUV with rich cabin designs. The Wagoneer Series I standard features include leather upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats with massage, heated and power-adjustable steering wheel, ambient cabin lighting with customization option, panoramic sunroof, and four-zone climate control. This model also boasts 20-inch alloy wheels, adaptive air suspension, retractable running boards, and 60/40-split folding third-row seats. Jeep equipped this base model with a 12-inch infotainment touchscreen and digital instrument display with a navigation system, wireless charging pad, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
It also sports loads of driver-assist features and an optional Convenience Group package that quickly improves its equipment.
The 2022 Wagoneer Series II starts at $69,640. This mid-range model adds more tech and comfort upgrades. It also sports upgraded leather upholstery, 22-inch wheels, a digital rearview mirror, passenger-seat memory settings, and a Suede headliner. This model can quickly be outfitted with the Premium Group II or Convenience package, adding Ventilated second-row seats, two 10.1-inch displays for rear passengers, heated second-row captain’s chairs, and other desirable features.
Although the 2022 Wagoneer may be a bit pricier alternative, its outstanding features and the Jeep’s typical off-road worthiness easily justify its price tag. If you want to lease a more luxed-up version, the Grand Wagoneer is the deal.
