We’ve always known Kia’s Forte to be a handsome, fuel-efficient compact sedan with sporty design cues. Now, the sedan is even more equipped and looks sportier than ever.
The Kia Forte boasts a solid value proposition as it offers quality materials and a slew of desirable features at an affordable price. Fresh from 2022’s thorough revamp, the Kia Forte is essentially unchanged for 2023. Here’s why leasing the 2023 Kia Forte is such a good deal.
The 2023 Kia Forte draws strength from a standard 2.0-liter four-cylinder or a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine. The standard 2.0-liter naturally-aspirated four-cylinder makes 147 hp and 132 lb-ft of torque. It pairs exclusively with a continuously variable automatic transmission and hits 60mph in a sluggish 8.2 seconds. If there’s a reason for shoppers to desire the top-tier GT model, it’s the 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine beneath its hood. This engine boasts 201 hp & 195 lb-ft and can be had with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission featuring steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters or a six-speed manual gearbox. The turbo-4 fires the Kia Forte to 60mph in a more impressive 6.7 seconds. The Forte delivers a pleasant ride, though it falls slightly behind segment leaders in terms of sportiness and performance.
According to EPA estimates, shoppers who opt for the base 147-hp four-cylinder will visit the gas station less frequently given its 30-mpg city and 41 mpg highway rating. Upgrading to the GT model’s turbo-4 with an automatic transmission brings these ratings to 27 mpg city and 35 mpg highway, while the optional manual transmission is rated 22 mpg and 31 mpg, respectively.
Inside, the 2023 Forte gets a simple and efficient dashboard design. Like most Kia lease deals, the Forte’s interior boasts quality materials, unlike the cheap plastics you’ll find in most of its rivals. Kia offers a plethora of essential standard features such as s 4.2-inch instrument display, an 8.0-inch touchscreen display, a 4-speaker audio system, 6-way manual driver seats, etc. Optional features include a 10-way power adjustable driver seat, heated and ventilated seats, wireless charger, dual-automatic climate control, etc.
Here’s a list of some of the modern safety and driver assistance features you’ll find in the 2023 Kia Forte;
