The Revamped 2023 BMW X7 Is Here, & It’s Mind-blowing

BMW’s largest SUV returns for the 2023 model year with a restyled exterior and a more sophisticated dashboard. The X7’s new split-headlight design and aggressive look solidify its place as a top choice for families searching for a full-size luxury SUV with strong value proposition. Like most BMW Lease deals, the new X7 is available in three trim levels with three outstanding engine options, standard all-wheel drive, and an adaptive air suspension that ensures a velvety ride. Whether you opt for the entry-level xDrive40i or the range-topping ALPINA XB7, leasing the BMW X7 is your dirt-cheap ticket to an exceptional full-size luxury SUV Experience.

Engine & Performance

Every 2023 X7 model gets a different turbocharged engine, but the SUV remains peppy regardless of what’s beneath the hood. The base xDrive40i is equipped with a 3.0Liter twin-turbocharged six-cylinder making 375-hp and 383 pound-feet of torque. Upgrading to the M60i unlocks the Marque’s famous 4.4Liter twin-turbo V8 engine that puts out 523-horsepower and 553 Ib-ft of torque. Both engines employ a 48Volt mild hybrid technology to improve performance and fuel economy. On the top-tier ALPINA XB7, the German luxury automaker unleashes an enhanced version of the M60i’s engine, now making a substantial 630-hp and 590 lb-ft of torque. All engines link up with a smooth eight-speed automatic transmission. And just as we expected, the ALPINA XB7 is the fastest, with a 0-60mph time of 3.9 seconds.

Fuel Economy

The most fuel-efficient X7 is the xDrive40i, as its inline-six returns an EPA rating of 21 mpg city and 25 mpg highway. Upgrading to the M60i decreases this rating to 16 mpg city and 21 mpg highway, while the XB7 shouldn’t be in the same sentence with “fuel efficiency.”

Interior

Inside, the 2023 X7 is behind its rivals in terms of space. However, it receives BMW’s latest design elements and features, including an enormous curved digital display that spans the SUV’s dashboard. This display comprises a 12.3-inch instrument cluster and a 14.9-inch center touchscreen that runs on the latest iDrive 8 operating system. Base trims get top-quality synthetic leather seats, Head-up display, four-zone automatic climate control, a 10-speaker HiFi sound system, etc. Going up the trim levels introduces a 16-speaker Harmon Kardon audio system, 5-zone automatic climate control, Nappa leather seats with heating, ventilation, and massaging, and an Anthracite Alcantara headliner.

Safety & Driver Assistance

The latest X7 gets a slew of BMW’s latest safety and driver assistance tech. Here are a few of them;

  • Adaptive LED headlights
  • Automatic high beams
  • Frontal collision warning with city collision mitigation,
  • Active blind spot detection
  • Active lane-keeping assistant w/ side collision avoidance
  • Parking assistant professional with surround view cameras
  • Extended traffic jam assistant
