The Full 2020 Lincoln MKZ Review

Since it was introduced over a decade ago, the Lincoln MKZ has continuously received more upgrades in power, performance, and elegance. This has been the backbone of unending appeal to many customers looking for a new level of driving experience. The 2020 Lincoln MKZ is still the same midsize luxury sedan. This send-off model is equipped with a vast arrangement of desirable features, a cozy cabin, and a cozy cabin that makes a Lincoln MKZ lease a delight. This Lincoln’s potent powertrain option, relaxing ride quality, and large trunk plays to the gallery of many shoppers in its segment.

Engine And Performance

The MKZ affords two gas engine options. A hybrid variant is also available. The base MKZ is powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that generates 245 horsepower and 275 pound-feet of torque. This base powertrain is only powerful enough for a daily commute. What it lacks in power and intriguing ride quality, it makes up for it with good fuel economy. More ardent auto admirers will prefer the optional twin-turbo V6 that produces 350 horsepower in front-drive models with 400 pound-feet of torque and 400 horsepower with all-wheel drive. Both of the powertrain options are connected to a six-speed automatic transmission.

The hybrid variant is engineered with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine and an electric motor that pairs to put out 188 horsepower and 129 pound-feet of torque. A continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) is also available here.

In the luxury midsize sedan class, the Lincoln MKZ stands out as a comfortable cruiser with a smooth ride even without been any sporty. The handling is composed, and maneuverability over tight corners and curvy roads is top-notch for a non-sports sedan.

Fuel Economy

With the MKZ, you will not be making many stops at gas stations. The base powertrain bags an estimated EPA rating of 20 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway, which is modest for a luxury midsize sedan. The all-wheel-drive V6 gets 17 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway, while the front-wheel-drive V6 MKZs gets 18 mpg and 27 mpg for city and highway, respectively. The hybrid variant gets a more exciting rating of 42 mpg in the city and 39 mpg on the highway.

Interior Quality And Cargo Space

The Lincoln nameplate is famous for having upscale interior designs. The 2020 MKZ is no different. Although it is not exclusively sophisticated, it still retains some appealing features such as genuine leather upholstery, wood trim, power-adjustable steering column, illuminated doorsill plates, and ambient interior lighting.

The new MKZ offers ample passenger and cargo space, modest for its class. It’s fitted with synthetic leather upholstery with front seats that are comfortable and very much supportive. The front seats also afford a 10-way power-adjustable option, heated, ventilated, and massaging feature. The rear seats are heated with just enough legroom space.

Safety

The Lincoln MKZ has always been an excelling luxury sedan when it comes to safety tests. This new MKZ model ticks the right boxes. Lincoln has equipped this sedan with standard Lincoln’s Co-Pilot360 package of safety features and other needful active safety features. The 2020 Lincoln MKZ will always be a luxury sedan to cherish.
