Leasing A Mercedes Benz EV

We’ve always known that Tesla would face serious competition the moment car makers like Mercedes began making EVs. Mercedes Benz is a reputable automaker that needs no introductions. When you talk about luxury, performance, consistency, durability, and an extensive lineup of perfectly engineered cars available in all segments, no other automaker seems to match up. Mercedes initially stated its plans to ensure 50% of the company’s global sales will be derived from plug-in hybrid and battery-electric cars by 2025, but the automaker is jumping straight into producing battery-electric cars as it looks to electrify its lineup by 2030.

The automaker also plans to set up eight new Mercedes battery gigafactories as it aims to defeat Tesla as the top premium EV manufacturer in less than 10years.

Asides from all the talks and plans going on beneath, Mercedes is set to release five elegant all-electric vehicles in the space of 2years.

The Roll Outs

EQS

The new EQS is a premium sedan that will serve as the company’s flagship EV. It is the first fully-electric car from the automaker’s electric sub-brand, EQ. The EQS features a uniquely designed exterior and an ultra-luxurious interior. The highlight of this car is its hyper screen display, the very first of its kind. This screen consists of a 12.3inch gauge cluster, 17.7inch touchscreen infotainment display, and 12.3inch passenger side touchscreen display, all merged to produce a harmonious look. The EQS will come with a large 107.8-kWh battery that boasts up to 350miles of driving range.

EQE

Just as you’d call the EQS “the electric S-class,” the EQS represents an electrified version of the regular E-class. It shares a lot in common with the EQS, and It also features the new hyper screen tech, customizable ambient lighting, a panoramic sunroof, and many more fascinating features. The EQE will come with a 90.6-kWh battery and a rear-mounted electric motor that produces 288-horses. A range-topping AWD version that makes up to 400-hp is definitely on the cards too.

EQA

The Mercedes EQA is a classic sub-compact SUV based on the regular GLA class. The EQA will feature a 66.5-kWh battery pack with an estimated driving range from 200 to 250miles. The rear-wheel-drive version of the EQA produces 188hp, while the all-wheel-drive version puts out 268-horses.

EQB

The Mercedes Benz EQB is an electrified version of the traditional GLB-class, and it still maintains the model’s boxy design but from an electrical point of view. Inside, the EQB looks very much like its fuel-powered sibling, with only slight differences. The EQB features a single electric motor mounted on the front axle, which puts out 221-hp.

EQG

The Mercedes Benz EQG is an electric version of the legendary G-class set to enter town as a 2024 model in 2023. Over the years, the off-road capable G-class has acquired so much fame and respect as a luxury SUV suitable for all terrains. If Mercedes wants to uphold the reputation of this outstanding SUV, then the upcoming EQG could feature four electric motors that will supply electrons to all four wheels, creating a four-wheel-drive powertrain.
