Introducing The All-New 2023 Cadillac Lyriq: Full Preview

Like every other automaker, Cadillac will be joining the EV race with an all-new EV SUV, the Lyriq, which will be available for leasing anytime soon. The Lyriq SUV, Caddy’s first entry into the luxury electric vehicle market, will chart the course for Caddy’s future EVs.

With its sharp styling and sophisticated cabin—more than anything Caddy has offered before—will be competing strongly with some of the best luxury EV SUVs out there. The Spring Hill, Tennesse-built Lyriq uses the GM’s Ultium platform. It delivers an attractive fully electric SUV with more than 300 miles of driving range.

Indeed, the Cadillac’s electric future looks very bright.

Engine & Performance

Cadillac says that the incoming Lyriq will be powered by a 12-module 100-kWh battery pack and a single motor powering the rear wheels. Also, a dual-motor all-wheel-drive version will be made available. The single motor generates 340 hp and 325 lb-ft of torque.

Though Cadillac has promised to offer a sportier version of the Lyriq, which will come with a dual motor and all-wheel-drive system, Cadillac is yet to fill us with the details of the model.

Whether you decide to lease the sportier version or the regular version, you can count on getting brisk acceleration and sure-footed handling. Also, expect to get a cosseting ride quality from this Caddy’s super sophisticated electric SUV.

Range & Charging

To set the ball rolling for its electric cars, GM launched an EV platform that uses scalable battery architecture or Ultium platform. The Lyriq is the first Caddy model to use this new battery tech. It comes with a 100-kW battery pack that delivers 300 miles per charge driving range.

Charging this Cadillac’s new flagship comes standard with a DC fast charging, but you can also charge at home. With the DC fast charging in a public station, Cadillac says you can add an extra 76 miles drive range to the Lyriq in less than 10 minutes charge and 190 kW. The Lyriq’s 19.2-kW onboard charger, which can add up to 52 miles of drive range per hour, is one of the most potent onboard chargers you can get in any other EV.

Interior, Technology

Although the all-new Lyriq comes with exquisite styling, a new battery tech, and more tech features than any other Cadillac, it adopts a more traditional interior design and styling elements. The five-seat interior of the Lyriq borrows so much from the Escalade. It boasts a comfortable and elegantly styled cabin with a huge touchscreen display and a curved digital instrument panel on the dash.

The Lyriq also sports a new noise cancellation technology that makes its cabin very quiet, while the Lyriq treats you to a pillowy ride.

Safety

The all-new Lyriq will come with all the standard and optional driver-assist tech features in Cadillac’s armor and offer a lot more, including a standard automated emergency braking with pedestrian detection and augmented reality head-up display.

The Cadillac Lyriq will usher in a new generation of stately designed and tech-packed Cadillac electric cars, and we will be here to witness it all. To lease this electric SUV or any Caddy at the best lease rates, contact VIP Auto, 1204 Hylan Blvd, Staten Island, NY 10305 https://viplease.com/.
