A lease on a 2027 RAM 1500 Laramie Crew Cab 4×4 is built from a handful of lines: the base price, the packages you add and the destination charge. Get those lines right and the monthly payment makes sense. Skip them and two trucks with the same name can sit thousands of dollars apart.
We went through real 2027 Laramie Crew Cab 4×4 window stickers and put a price on each line: what the base truck already includes, what the 2027 RAM 1500 Laramie HEMI and Night Edition add, what the Laramie Level 2 group brings, and what those choices do to a lease in New York City. The truck in our photos and video is a Laramie Crew Cab 4×4 in Granite Crystal with the Night Edition that we delivered here in New York, and the 2027 looks almost the same.
What’s new on the 2027 Laramie
The 2027 is a light update. For a Laramie on a lease, these are the changes that matter:
- Rain-sensing wipers are now standard. On a 2026 Laramie sticker we read, they came as part of the Level 2 group.
- The 360-degree camera is easier to get. RAM now offers its surround-view camera with the Laramie Level 1 group for the first time, and it is part of Level 2.
- The HEMI is changing during the year. Early 2027 trucks carry the 5.7-liter HEMI with eTorque mild-hybrid assist and auto stop-start. RAM has said it will phase eTorque out during the 2027 model year and switch to a non-hybrid HEMI without stop-start.
- A darker badge on the Night Edition. The “Symbol of Protest” HEMI fender badge now comes in satin black on Night Edition trucks.
- Slightly higher numbers. The base price on the 2027 Laramie Crew Cab 4×4 stickers we read is $65,080, up $200 from $64,880 on the 2026 sticker, and destination is $2,795, also up $200.
What the $65,080 base price already includes
Before a single option is added, the 2027 Laramie Crew Cab 4×4 comes with a long list of standard equipment. From the 2027 stickers:
- Comfort: leather-trimmed bucket seats, heated and ventilated front seats, heated second-row seats, a heated steering wheel, dual-zone automatic climate control and power-adjustable pedals with memory.
- Technology: Uconnect 5 navigation on a 12-inch touchscreen, a 7-inch digital cluster, SiriusXM 360L with a three-month subscription, and nine amplified speakers with a subwoofer.
- Safety and driver assistance: adaptive cruise control with stop and go, active lane management, blind-spot and cross-path detection, full-speed forward collision warning, pedestrian emergency braking, front and rear park assist and a rear camera.
- Truck hardware: an electronic shift-on-demand transfer case, a 3.55 rear axle, a Class IV receiver hitch, a dampened tailgate, remote start, a 26-gallon fuel tank, 20-inch wheels and, new for 2027, rain-sensing wipers.
The standard engine is RAM’s 3.0-liter Hurricane twin-turbo six, rated at 420 horsepower and 469 lb-ft of torque, with an eight-speed automatic. Keep that in mind for the option list below: the HEMI is an upgrade, not the default.
The packages and options, line by line
These are the 2027 prices printed on Laramie Crew Cab 4×4 stickers:
- 5.7-liter HEMI V8 — $1,200. On early-build trucks it is the eTorque version with stop-start, a 48-volt belt starter generator and a G/T exhaust.
- Night Edition — $3,445. 22-inch forged aluminum wheels on 285/45R22 all-season tires, an anti-spin rear differential, accent-color power mirrors with approach lamps, proximity approach and departure lamps, and body-color front and rear bumpers with step pads.
- Laramie Level 2 Equipment Group — $2,045. A surround-view camera, a 12-inch digital cluster, a power tailgate, a 19-speaker Harman Kardon sound system and a 12-way/1-way trailer connector.
- Laramie Level 1 Equipment Group — $645. A power tailgate release, the surround-view camera and the trailer connector.
- Dual-pane panoramic sunroof — $1,595.
- 3.92 rear axle ratio — $195.
- Rear wheelhouse liners — $195.
Build a 2027 Laramie Crew Cab 4×4 the way the truck in our video is set up, with the HEMI, the Night Edition, Level 2 and the sunroof, and the options come to $8,285, about 13% on top of the base price. Add the $2,795 destination charge and the total is $76,160.
HEMI or Hurricane?
RAM rates the standard Hurricane six at 420 horsepower and 469 lb-ft and the 5.7-liter HEMI V8 at 395 horsepower and 410 lb-ft. On paper, the engine you pay $1,200 extra for is the less powerful one, by 25 horsepower and 59 lb-ft.
The EPA label on a 2027 HEMI eTorque Laramie Crew Cab 4×4 reads 16 city, 20 highway, 18 combined, with an estimated annual fuel cost of $3,000 at 15,000 miles a year and $3.60 a gallon. Ask to see the label on a Hurricane-powered truck as well, so the fuel cost sits next to the $1,200 when you decide.
The eTorque change matters if you feel strongly about auto stop-start. RAM says the later, non-hybrid HEMI drops it, and both versions are rated at the same 395 horsepower and 410 lb-ft. If you care either way, have the exact truck’s sticker checked before you sign.
None of that makes the HEMI the wrong choice. People pay for the sound and the feel of a V8, and that is a perfectly good reason. It just belongs in the decision, alongside the price.
How options turn into a lease payment
On a lease you do not pay an option’s full price. You pay for the part of its value the truck loses while you have it, plus a finance charge, plus tax. Two numbers drive that:
- The residual value, what the lender expects the truck to be worth at the end of the lease, usually set as a percentage of the sticker price, options included.
- The money factor, the finance rate on the lease. Multiply it by 2,400 to get a rough APR.
Each month, an option costs its price times the share of value lost, divided by the months in the lease, plus its price times one-plus-the-residual times the money factor. Here it is worked through for the build above, with illustrative numbers only: a 36-month lease, a 60% residual and a money factor of 0.0025 (about 6% APR).
- HEMI, Night Edition, Level 2 and sunroof ($8,285): $92.06 a month in depreciation plus $33.14 in rent charge, about $125 a month before tax.
- The HEMI alone ($1,200): about $18 a month before tax.
- The Night Edition ($3,445): about $52 a month before tax.
- Laramie Level 2 ($2,045): about $31 a month before tax.
The real residual and money factor change from month to month and depend on the lender and your credit, so ask for both in writing. The pattern holds, though: on a lease, options cost a fraction of their price each month, and the ones that hold their value on a used truck cost the least.
What New York adds on top
New York charges sales tax on a lease once, at signing, on the total of every payment across the term, under Tax Law §1111(i). In New York City the rate is 8.875%.
On the illustration above, the $125 a month of options becomes about $136 with tax. Over 36 months that is roughly $4,907 for $8,285 of options, tax included. The HEMI’s $18 a month becomes about $20, or around $711 over the lease.
The destination charge works the same way. It is printed on the sticker, it is part of the price the lease is built on, and it is taxed along with everything else.
Which options earn their place on a lease
There is no right list, but there is a useful question for each line: will I use this every week, and will the next owner pay for it?
- Night Edition changes how the truck looks every day, and it is the kind of package used-truck shoppers look for.
- Level 2 now carries the 360-degree camera, which earns its keep every time you park a full-size truck in the city. If the camera is all you want, Level 1 gets you there for $645.
- The HEMI is a character choice. If you love a V8, it is a small monthly cost. If you mostly drive in the city, the standard six makes more power for no extra charge.
- The 3.92 axle is for towing. If there is no trailer in your plans, it does nothing for you.
- Wheelhouse liners are a small, practical extra. Worth having, but not what decides the payment.

Where this goes wrong
Comparing an advertised payment with an optioned-up truck
Advertised lease payments are usually built on a base truck. A Laramie with $8,285 of options will not lease for the same number, and that is not a hidden fee. Ask for the sticker of the exact truck behind any quote, and compare the stickers before you compare the payments.
Paying for a tow axle you will never use
The 3.92 rear axle is cheap at $195, but it exists to pull weight. If the truck will never tow, it adds cost and nothing else. The same goes for any option you took because it came on the truck that was available, not because you wanted it.
Assuming every 2027 HEMI is the same
Through the 2027 model year, some HEMI trucks will have eTorque and stop-start and some will not. Neither is wrong, but if it matters to you, check the engine line on the sticker of the actual truck, not the brochure.
Leaving destination and tax out of the real number
The $2,795 destination charge and New York’s up-front lease tax are both part of what you pay. A quote that looks good before them can look ordinary after. Ask for the total due at signing and the total of all payments, in writing.
Buying extra protection a short lease doesn’t need
The 2027 stickers list a 3-year, 36,000-mile basic warranty and a 5-year, 60,000-mile powertrain warranty. A 36-month lease at 12,000 miles a year stays inside the basic warranty the whole way. Read what any extra protection plan covers before adding it to a lease of that length.
Questions we get asked
Is the HEMI standard on the 2027 RAM 1500 Laramie?
No. The standard engine is the 3.0-liter Hurricane twin-turbo six with 420 horsepower. The 5.7-liter HEMI V8 is a $1,200 option.
What is the base price of a 2027 RAM 1500 Laramie Crew Cab 4×4?
$65,080 on the 2027 window stickers we read, before options and the $2,795 destination charge.
What does the Night Edition add on a 2027 Laramie?
For $3,445: 22-inch forged aluminum wheels, an anti-spin rear differential, approach lamps, accent-color power mirrors and body-color bumpers. On HEMI trucks, the fender badge is now satin black.
Does the 2027 HEMI still have eTorque?
Early 2027 trucks do. RAM has said it will phase eTorque out during the model year and replace it with a non-hybrid HEMI without stop-start, rated at the same 395 horsepower and 410 lb-ft.
Do options raise a lease payment dollar for dollar?
No. On a lease you pay for the value an option loses over the term plus a finance charge. In our illustration, $8,285 of options added about $125 a month before tax over 36 months.
What fuel economy does the 2027 HEMI Laramie get?
The EPA label on a 2027 HEMI eTorque Laramie Crew Cab 4×4 reads 16 mpg city, 20 highway and 18 combined.
