Interior
From the inside and out the new Mercedes G glass has been redesigned. Don’t be fooled into thinking that just because the GLA-250 is a compact SUV, that it’s lacking in space. The power-adjustable seats are made from synthetic leather and the front seats are fully heated and ventilated for ultimate comfort, The back seats slide and recline, and have plenty of room at the knees, shoulders, and head. With a seating capacity of 5, it is very comfortable even for long road trips or everyday driving.
The back seats can fold down completely greatly enhancing the cargo-carrying capacity. Behind the back seats, there are just over 15 cubic feet but when they are flat it expands up to 50 cubic feet, allowing for plenty of storage of luggage, sports gear, and groceries.
The standard LCD display is 7 inches which can be upgraded to a 10.25 inch. It contains nearly every feature you could ever wish for in an infotainment display including voice control, USB charging, integration with Apple and Android devices and so much more. There is an awesome sound system that can be upgraded to an even better Burmester system with 12 speakers.
Engine
The GLAD-250 is a great entry-level SUV into the power and style that Mercedes offers in its 2021 lineup. It comes standard with a 4 cylinder turbo engine with 221 horsepower. It has plenty of kick and still remains very fuel-efficient, with an estimated 25 mpg in the city and 34 mpg on the highway in FWD and just slightly less in AWD. It handles and drives like a crossover SUV, with enough visibility of the road to feeling confident but responds easily on turns, braking, and acceleration.
