A Full In-Depth Review On The 2020 Kia Forte

The 2020 Kia Forte is an excellent compact sedan that gives loads of great valued features even at a lesser price compared to other cars in its class. Its refreshed model is designed with tons of appealing standard features, ample trunk space, comfy seats, excellent fuel economy, and a user-friendly infotainment system. Perhaps, its overall pleasant blend of unmatched quality and value in its class is a strong point for the upsurge in Kia Forte leasing. Besides, the all-new sedan also comes with an exquisite cabin and loads of standard tech and safety features such as lane keep assist, automatic emergency braking, and driver attention monitoring. There’s more to love about this compact car.

Engine And Transmission

Powered by two different engine options; a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that effortlessly generates 147 horsepower as its base model’s powertrain. It is paired to a six-speed manual transmission, but a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) is optional. The 2.0-liter engine delivers a mild acceleration.

The latest Forte also comes with a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder that coughs out 201 horsepower. This optional turbocharged engine can be had with either a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, which is standard or a six-speed manual gearbox. Its impressive horsepower places the all-new Kia Forte in the upper echelons of its segment.

Fuel Economy

One of the remarkable appeals with the new Forte is that you can cruise with it for long without any thought of stopping at gas stations. Its combined fuel economy of 33 mpg can be attributed to its not so powerful engine and automatic transmission. Its base model with the standard six-speed manual transmission bags a gas mileage of 27 mpg in the city and 37 mpg on the highway. The optional continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) gets up to a 31 mpg and 41 mpg in the streets and highway, respectively. In the more robust powertrain option, with the automatic transmission, you get a 27 mpg by 35 mpg and a 25 mpg by 32 mpg, with the manual transmission.

Interior And Cargo

The cabin of the Kia Forte is strategically designed to impress. Its cabin features a beautiful layout of delicate materials and tech accessories that its prominence increases as you go higher in the trim level. The five-seater interior has its dashboards festooned with well cut out vents and buttons as its seats are made of synthetic leather upholstery. The seats are super comfy and feature a 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat and heated and ventilated alternatives. Dual-Zone automatic climate control is also optional.

Aside from its seats been comfy and supportive, the back seats are very spacious for adult passengers and can be split-fold to offer up more in cargo space. Its trunk is by far one of the largest in the segment.

Safety

The 2020 Kia Forte has also earned an impressive safety rating. It also comes fully fitted with loads of standard safety tech amenities along with driver assistance features. Some of it includes driver attention and drowsiness monitor, lane departure warning, and lane keep assist, a forward collision warning, and automatic emergency braking.
