The 2023 Kia Soul is an unconventional car because it has hamsters bopping out. Although the Soul has a unique appearance on the road, its boxy body conceals a cabin that is incredibly practical and has plenty of space for both passengers and cargo despite its small size.

Fuel Economy
The Soul has an EPA rating that ranges from 28 mpg in the city to 35 mpg on the highway. That’s not bad for a box-on-wheels that appears to lack aerodynamics.
Its main competitors, the Nissan Kicks and the Hyundai Venue, provide comparable highway mileage but outperform the Kia in the city, averaging 31 and 30 mpg, respectively. The Soul achieved 30 mpg in a fuel economy test at 75 mph.
Interior
The Soul’s upright body creates a spacious interior with lots of space for passengers and cargo. The interior of the Kia Soul has been given just the right amount of youthful cheekiness to match its stylish exterior. This includes colorful trim and textured door panel inserts.
Other options include heated seats and a heated steering wheel, ambient lighting, a smartphone charging pad, a head-up display, push-button ignition, and keyless entry.

With its smaller hold and tighter rear seat space, the Venue can only fit 4 suitcases behind the back seat and 17 with the seats down.
Safety and Driver-Assistance Features
On the base Soul model, Kia offers a few pieces of driver assistance technology as standard, but more are available on the S model and higher.
Additionally, the likes of standard forward-collision warning with automatic emergency braking, standard lane-departure warning with lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, and automatic high-beam headlamps are safety features to look for.
