There’s nothing that beats cruising with a luxury sports car that radiates distinct peculiarity. Sporting extraordinary designs and awe-inspiring engineering, the 2021 Jaguar F-Type is a sleek and sexy sports car that keeps heads turning in the streets. If you’re shopping for a luxury sports car that affords attractive styling, muscular engine options, and nimble handling, leasing the 2021 Jaguar F-Type fits the description. Also available in a sleek coupe and stunning convertible body styles, the new F-Type has an exciting lineup of powertrains that all gives a superb performance and composed ride quality. The only set back of this nearly faultless luxury sports car is its cramped interior.
Engine And Performance
The 2021 Jaguar F-Type comes with three options of robust powertrains. The base is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder that pumps out 296 horsepower. A supercharged 3.0-liter V6 is the mid powertrain, pushing the sports car to a 380 horsepower. And lastly, the top engine is a supercharged 5.0-liter V8 that generates 575 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque. All the powertrains options are mated with an eight-speed automatic transmission, which enables quick switch of gears. The V8 and V6 models are available with an all-wheel-drive as standard, while the 2.0-liter four-cylinder only comes with rear-wheel drive.
The new Jaguar F-Type can go zero to 60 mph within 5.5 seconds with the base engine. This is relatively applaudable for a luxury sports car. However, the V6 engine doesn’t impress much as it can accelerate from 0-60 mph in a comparable 4.9 seconds. The V8 is the thrill, as it effortlessly finishes 60 mph in just 3.5 seconds.
Aside from its stunning sports appearance, the 2021 F-Type affords an athletic driving dynamics. It offers firm handling and a good road feel and communicates well with the driver.
Even for a luxury sports car, this Jaguar still holds a decent fuel economy. The four-cylinder is the most efficient option, with an estimated EPA rating of 23 mpg in the city and 30 mpg on the highway. The V6 gets 18 and 26 mpg on city and highway, while the V8, the F-Type R, gets 16 mpg and 24 mpg on city and highway, respectively.
Interior And Cargo
Although the inside of the F-Type may not be much tempting and appealing as the exterior, it still affords so many soft-touch materials, a leather upholstery, and other hosts of rich features that are also available with other top rivals in its class.
The cabin of this luxury ride is a far cry from been spacious. Its cargo area is shallow but ample enough to hit above average for a luxury sports car.
Standard safety features like automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist, forward collision warning, front and rear parking sensors, and a rearview camera are available in the 2021 F-Type, together with other optional advanced safety features.
