Why The 2022 BMW xDrive 840i Coupe Lease Deals Is So Desirable
If you think that large luxury sedans are too old-fashioned for you or that midsize luxury sedans are too conventional for you, you might consider leasing the new BMW xDrive…
Like other high-end luxury car brands, BMW is seriously expanding its EV lineup with never-before-seen designs and futuristic car technology. We’ve seen the exhilarating i4 and i7, which are electrified versions of the latest 4-series Gran Coupe and 7-series, respectively. This time, the 5-series is BMW’s latest candidate as an all-new i5 was unveiled on the 24th day of May 2023 and will go into production as a 2024 model year electric vehicle. However, it will also be released along with a new generation of the traditional gas-powered 5-series slated for 2024. Like other BMW EV lease deals, the i5 is expected to deliver next-generation tech and exciting performance that stays true to the German Automaker’s reputation. Here is what we know about BMW’s forthcoming mid-size luxury EV.
The i5 will square off against highly-rated medium-sized luxury electric sedans like the Mercedes-Benz EQE, Genesis Electrified G80, Porsche Taycan, etc. So BMW knows precisely how much power would give the i5 a vital edge over the hot competition. For a start, the i5 will be available in two variants. The base eDrive40 will feature a rear-wheel, single-electric motor that puts out 335 horses. The upper model is an M60 xDrive with two powerful electric motors making a combined 590 horsepower. According to BMW, the i5 M60 xDrive is capable of a 0-62mph time of 3.9 seconds.
BMW says the upcoming i5 will feature an 83.9-kWh battery which could offer up to 300 miles of driving range on the eDrive40 since it’s the thriftiest of both models.
The i5 will take up the slot between the compact i4 and full-size i7 in BMW’s lineup of premium electric sedans, so expect a decent amount of passenger and cargo room. The i5’s interior is a place you’d want to spend time. It features a slew of glass controls, available genuine leather upholstery, and BMW’s new top-quality artificial leather upholstery dubbed Veganza. Like other BMW EVs, the i5’s dashboard houses a curved display panel integrating a 14.9-inch infotainment touchscreen with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster.
Like all the other EVs the German luxury car manufacturer has released so far, we expect the i5 to offer an extensive suite of standard and optional safety and driver assistance features, including;
